| Did anyone see much of this?? Oh for the non NZers, this was 24 hours of televised NZ music Live. I saw little snippets, not allot as my weekend didn't allow it. I thought it was a great idea. I didn't realise until I first watched it they were raising money. If you did see some what did you think of the NZ music? I noticed when I was watching it that they showed quite a few interviews of the more Popular NZ bands that were pre recorded, Becuase they were not going to be in NZ at that time. Which I kinda thought was sad at first cos we didn't get to see them perfomr, but then I figured it was good, becuase it means they are overseas doing their music thing! From what I saw we have quite a bit of Musical talent in NZ. So hopefully they will be able to do well. | ||||

| I avoided it completely. Idiotic NZ "celebrities" thinking they're hot stuff, TRYING to be funny and interesting. I just couldn't stomach it. I heard what I thought was someone being skinned at one stage on Sunday morning (Kall had the TV on in the spare room) and I also heard a wee girly who thought she could sing but she sounded pretty bad, well not THAT bad but the song was soooo boring and depressing that I was considering slitting my wrists just to stop myself from hearing any more. The good thing about it was that I got started on a new book that I had bought earlier on Saturday morning. | ||||

| hahaha, good to see your so Positive about NZ music there Sparkly gal! I thought some of it was shit, but only cos I dont listen to that sorta music normally to be able to ascertain whether they are good or not. But some of the stuff was OK. I thought it was a good idea to do it tho' Gives the bands a chance to show their stuff. It must have been a nightmare to organise tho' | ||||

| Twas a bit scary how deep they had to dig to fill up 24 hours. I happened to wander across it about 2am, to be met with a rather odd assortment of busker like individuals. Not only that, but as semi headliners, they had to scrape up the likes of the Bats, Hello Sailor and Paul Ubana-Jones. Would have been nice to see a bit more of a buy in from headline acts (some of them, ie Elemeno-P, Im pretty sure were still in country). They also made some interesting calls in scheduling, 48 May for 1am? All in all, a good idea, but Im not sure of the execution. | ||||

| Yeah, I don't know why I'm so cynical about NZ music. Some great stuff has come out of NZ over the past years. I guess I'm just sick of the hip hop rubbishy crap (no offence to anyone who likes it but I can't stand the stuff) and EVERYONE seems to promote it and shove it down our throats ... the likes of Scribe etc ... yech yech yech. Big thumbs up on the idea but I don't think they needed to stretch it out for 24 hours. | ||||

I know that when I was watching it they were only going on about reaching 100,000. I think 1 million would have been very very optimistic to expect. | ||||
