I ended up duplicating the post.

I did have a neighbor when i was a kid, who when he killed a possum would eat a bit and toss the rest to the hogs.

I don't know how much this was as it was a gift. It's ultra soft and snuggly though. Gets a bit hot so it has to be a REALLY cold day before I will wear it.

You know, that really doesn't surprise me. Considering when you're waiting for something to be made (I always order cheeseburgers without pickle or onion so I know it will be hot) and they say "it will be a couple of minutes" and then 10 minutes later you're still waiting.

They always look like they're stoned or something as well.

Oh, and now they've started hiring "english is their second language" type people and it's almost impossible to order anything slightly different from the menu

Me: "cheeseburger, no pickle, no onion".

Them: "oh, so sowwy, you wan big mac?"

I could go on but I'm getting frustrated just thinking about it

The possum? Doubt it. The possum came in to the office several years ago. Although replaced, I have not named the current ones. No cuddles for this lot.

That sucks. It takes a maximum of 90 seconds to cook the patty, and while it is cooking, you are sposed to make the bun. 2 minutes is what I used to tell people they would have to wait, and they would have it within that time.

I actually had a counter person who could not speak English. Most of the customers were and are Spanish speaking at a local Micky Ds. aka McDonalds.

On the subject of food poisioning I would like to share a story I was told a few years back about revenge.

A group of friends (one of which was a workmate relaying the story) had a get together one Friday night and had a meal together which was chicken from the local (New Lynn) KFC 'resturant'.

Unfortunately all of the group developed food poisioning and as the only meal that they had in common was the KFC they made a complaint to the health department. Bureaucracy doing what it does best demanded samples before any action would be taken. For some strange reason the affected people were too busy doing other things (like feeling like pond scum) to provide samples.

However, when one of them was feeling better he chose to take revenge on the offending KFC outlet. I must point out that Andrew S****'s day job (at the time) was a possum trapper in the nearby Waitakere Ranges.

The next friday comes and at approximately 6pm as the KFC outlet is full, he marches in and dumps two very dead possums on the clean counter and in a loud voice (so everybody can hear) says "here is this weeks delivery, where is the money for last weeks?" At this point the manager is going balistic and is rapidly moving towards the counter. However Andrew is already making his way to the door and the awaiting (running) car at high speed, making a clean get away.

The story continues that the 'resturant' then had to be closed while the dead possums were removed and the area was cleaned up. What a pitty that it was at their busiest time of the week and they lost a huge amount of business.

Ain't revenge sweet?

Sometimes a bit of direct action is the best.

Not much question about the source of the "trots".
