Someone starts by saying something, anything.

The next post picks up on the same topic but then goes off at a wild tangent.

The next post pics up where the tangent left off and goes off on a tangent of its own.

...and so on.


So I'll start.


The topic is Geese.

Did you know that a group of geese on the ground is called a gaggle but in the air it's called a Skein

Thank you for that useless bit of information! Actually, I quite like some of the collective nouns - a murder of crows etc.

BTW, isn't the point of this game what happens on the boards anyway? It's not often a thread can hold just the one topic

You should see the Tuis @ the Botanical Gardens in Spring. Theres hundreds of them!

Horses come in many varieties, big and small. The largest are called Shire Horses. And of course Hobbits live in the shire...
