What is the raw food diet?

I like raw vegetables and fruit but not a huge fan of raw meat. Some raw fish is okay.

Thanks re smileys, it's taken me a while to get them all sorted but am quite happy with the collection now.

Same here Sparklechick.

With the meat packers in the US. Ha, ha.

We have meat and poultry inspection but how can one inspector check a plant that is doing 5,000 chickens an hour?

I do like shashimi (sp) and sushi.

But the slaughterhouse inspection in the US is really bad.

Well, mostly it's vegetables and stuff.

Absolutely nothing is cooked. It's a hard diet to stick to. Considering cooked food always smells so good.

The thing about the diet is the fact that the first few weeks are a real bitch.

You go through a "cleansing" period. Yes - that IS as gross as you think it sounds.

And then you have to adjust your toilet habits. It's a very healthy diet. But you have to be selective.
