| I am really looking forward to the games. Here in the states, some of the runners, etc are out for I think 2 years. Steroids. I am not interested in how fast a person on performance enhancement drugs can do anything. I am interested in how well the players without assistance can perform. We saw enhancement in Vietnam. Little red pills to help see the trail. Little white pills to help you go down the path. We need to not do that to ourselves, each other or others. Be all you can be not Be all you can be on (enter drug of choice here) If we win unfairly, have we won? | ||||

| I'm looking forward to watching some of the Olympics. Especially stuff like the gymnastics although with that sort of event they often play it at strange hours because they play the stuff like track & field (something I guess they assume is more popular) during prime time | ||||

| Have you ever seen the mens pair floor exercises? There were these two Russians on the mat. One at about 100 kilos and one at about 75. The objective is dance, certain moves, and power with grace. At one point the big guy picks the little guy up WITH ONE HAND and moves him about to music. I do not think I have ever seen such power before or since. | ||||

| The gymnastic are my favourite also. Those people are so fit and healthy but not overdeveloped. It makes me sick with envy as I'd really love to be able to that myself. Having the figure and coordination of an anesthetised hippo precludes that, sadly. ![]() | ||||
