Hi all,

Probably will be living in NZ for about 1 to 2 years, what are the top 10 things to do/see/experience etc. in that time frame...what time of the year would you do these in.

Will be arriving in January.

You will need to see:

Cape Reinga (top of North Island) preferably in Summer
Queenstown (near bottom of South Island) preferably in Winter
Marlborough Sounds (top of South Island) preferably in Summer
West Coast of South Island (near winter time)
Bay of Islands (not quite at the top of the North Island) preferably in Summer

I agree with Sparkly Gal's list, and add:

Coromandel..... Any time of year, except around Easter it has a habit of flooding. Its is beautiful, my favourite place to go is to go to Coroglen, and stay at the motorcamp, its lovley (I can feel a weekend away coming up SOON!). And then its easy travel to Whitianga/cooks beach/hot water beach/Hahei. I love it.

Also add the rest of the South Island, its all beautiful!
