| Last week I decided to upgrade a few pieces of my PC, as they were over 18 months old, and therefore obsolete. After getting some new RAM and a video card, I found that my case/motherboard situation didn't have enough power to keep everything alive, so replacements of those were required, along with a CPU. After all that, I ended up with the following beast: Gigabyte K7 Triton Motherboard Athlon XP 2800+ running at 2490 MHz (2.4 Gig) CPU 1G of DDR Ram at 333MHz (Dual Channel) ATi Radeon 9800 128MB 3d Video Card ... and other stuff. (oh, and the case has boy-racer neon tubing. The photo doesn't do it justice. ) | ||||

| My PC, Older!, slower!, dying! I am very jealous man, cos my battered old box (Duron 700, on its 17th operating system install without a word of a lie), is way past beginning to show its age | ||||

| Ahh the Duron...such fond memories. One is: Being able to put a Moro bar on the top of the case and watch it slowly melt from the heat generatoed by the CPU. ![]() | ||||

| I'm running a Duron 700 too. No real problem but the power. I suspect it was my plugs. But that seems to be sorted now and the pc is running like a dream again ![]() | ||||
