My Mum, Lynette Johnston is a brilliant artist.

She has won several Art awards, including a First placing and 2 Highly Commendeds at the Auckland Easter Show.

Mum was also featured in the 'Horse and Pony' magazine article on Equine Artists.

Here's a sample of one of her paintings. This painting was commissioned by Zhonda's owners.

How'd your mum get the horse to hold that pose in mid-air while she painted it?

I think what they do in cases of 'Action Painting' is, to take a Photograph first.

This saves strain on not only the horse and jockey, but also the various spectators and the digital clock.

Yay good news. I advertised two paintings on trademe before Christmas and one of them was bought by a woman who lives in Christchurch. My Mum is well stoked

I wasn't sure if people buy art off trademe but I guess that they do! Turns out this lady buys a lot of art off trademe ... bought about 10 paintings in the week before Christmas ... so it's great exposure for Mum too.
