Here's an interesting yet very serious topic of discussion.

A couple of years ago a movie called The Mothman Prophecies was released, starring Richard Gere about some events at a town called Point Pleasant in Virginia, USA.

I watched the movie a while back with my friends and we discussed it some. Needless to say some couldn't sleep by themselves!! I heard about some of the stuff about the events but sometimes pple get caught up with myth and reality and fantasy and some of the movies that say they are from true historical events simply aren't. It was a rumour with 'Hidalgo' too which they said isn't a true story but the movie camp says it is (In this case I believe them).

About the Mothman, I believed too that's it's true. Or rather can be true just coz I hadn't heard of it b4. But according to the documentation the story is really true. However, the real reason for the mothman appearances are to me, still unclear. It seems he wanted to warn the pple to escape the disaster, but at the same time, in all history of his appearances, he doesn't seem to save pple. I mean some yes, a very little some.
I think the real prob or issue is for humans to believe his warning and understand something nasty will happen and leave their area. But often it has not happened. All the instances have been natural disasters or instances where even if they come from things humans build/develop, it is not the humans who actively do something to bring about the disaster. And it seems that he has been given power( who by?) to tell pple something but not actually help avoid the disaster. In other words, the mothman cannot stop the disastrous activity.

It seems to me for some reason like it is a curse for him. Like, his task is frustrating to him, difficult and unaided to some degree. Not like an Angel's work. It just felt that way to me and some others said the same.
Anyway, this is a must check out for me. I will check the websites. I am sure they have the real deal. Thanks niteFenix.
