Default a month to kill

Ok so you find out that you have a months worth of vacation time built up and you have to take it or you lose it and there's no option to work through it and still get the extra money.

You don't have to take it all at once but you can and either way you only have about 6 months in which to use it up.

So if you had a month of accumulated vacation time what would you do?
Would you use it all at once or spread it out? Would you stay home or go somewhere? Where would you go?

If you can afford it, travel.

Is there an English speaking country you would like to visit?

Do you speak a language other than English? Would you like to visit a country that speaks the language.

What I am saying is staying home would not be a lot of "release" unless you make a list of what you want to do ahead of time and work through it.

I do not do this and often look back with a bit of disappointment. I could avoid this by simply making a list of things done, even if not on the to do list.

Some Nots: Do not visit Lagos, Nigeria. I worked there and it is a horrid place. People are ok. Government is really really bad.

Can you go to the Olympics? Now that would be HOT

I'd take it al at once, have a really good break, and go away somewhere if I could afford it. Or even just have the time off. It would be great!

That is exactly what I'm doing.
Of course I take the odd day here and there when I have to for dental appointments and the like but I plan on saving up all the time I can to take off in one long Stretch.
Personally, I've always wanted to travel across Canada.

You could travel to NZ!!!!! We're a friendly bunch and there's heaps here to do, and your money would stretch a long waaaaay over here.

I tend to take short breaks, I enjoy having four day weekends, but I agree with the others, if you need a decent break then you need to have more than just a day here or there.

I tend to get bored (unless I'm travelling somewhere) if I take longer than a week off work.

Tend to worry about all the work that's going to be there when I get back to.

I would take it all at once. The problem would be deciding what to do in that month. I have always wanted to drive across the U.S., and a month would be great for that. But there are so many places I want to visit, it would be difficult to decide. I'd probably pack lightly, point my car west, and just drive, take long leisurely breaks along the way.
