I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas, I hope you all have fun!

I am going to, I am just heading a few hours north to see my Family, then off to camp somewhere or other (in a motorcamp cos I am too lazy to do the real roughing it thing!) weather permitting!

Hey you guys tell me where you reckon I should look at going and camping. Motor camp remember. haha. I have spent heaps of my life in Opua/Paihia/Russell and that area, so thought I should try some other area of Northland, I was thinking of going somewhere round Taupo bay....

Well I wouldn't advise Matai Bay, that's foreshore.



Henderson bay was a place we would go when i was a kid...or Taupo Bay, yeah, that's nice too.

When we went to Taupo bay when I was younger they had all these Christian people running round trying to convert everyone, well aimed at the kids really. It was kinda funny, and someone almost ran over my head on new years eve when they were driving out from their tent, I think they may have been drunk, they ran over our tent and almost my head, my mum got out in her nightie that was too small and yelled at them, it was funny.... well not the almost having my head run over, when I realised what was happening I moved and it was scary, but the Mum bit.

So if I can get over those two issues we might go there, otherwise, I could try tauraunaga bay, I'll have to consult a map to see where henderson bay is.

Tauranga Bay or Taupo Bay are both really nice.

I've spent a reasonable amount of time staying at both, although spent more time at Taupo Bay because my friends Gran lived there.

Haven't been there in years though.

Don't worry Darkling, I have internet access where I am going - also have my wireless card in the laptop so can access from anywhere (as long as they have a signal)

I don't, infact I think I don't want to touch a computer while I am away....

But I think my friend who is going too will have his laptop with telecom fast mobile internet thing anyway, but I think I will just keep away from it!
