Default Lotto/Lottery Tickets

Do you buy them?

If so, do you check them the evening of the draw or do you wait until next time you're near a Lotto shop?

How long have you bought them for?

Do you buy them frequently or infrequently?

Have you ever won anything? Was it significant? What would you do if you won over a million dollars?

I started buying Lotto tickets reasonably recently. I bought a ticket for last weeks draw which I haven't had checked yet. I try to buy one every week. If I won over a million I would drop the cat off at Mums place, quit my job and do a massive OE with Kall and visit all the places we've talked about visiting around the world.

I never buy them. I'd rather find a grant and start a business - or just skip the grant bit altogether.

If I am pressured enough.

Look online after about 3 weeks.

How long have you bought them for?

Since I was eleven. Huhu.

Do you buy them frequently or infrequently?

infrequently.

Have you ever won anything? Was it significant? What would you do if you won over a million dollars?

Won six dollars once.

Lotto? Not since the game got really complex and the price went up like a trillion dollars.....and you had to pay extra if you even wanted to be "in the draw" to win all the extra stuff.
Think of buying them, but don't...
Buy scratchies instead, seem to have more luck (Or my brother does - he won a $10k prize once)
but haven't bought one in the last year or two.
Why the sudden interest?

I have been thinking about getting my lotto ticket checked and then started this thread.

I buy scratchies too ... I buy a $6 lucky dip and then 4 x $1 scratchies. Have never won anything more than $3 on the scratchies. Very disappointing!

I have won $50 on a scratchie my brother brought me, who then took it off me again when he found out it was worth $50.

I never buy lotto tickets though. I have my own form of lottery, guanteeded to win everytime. I put all left over money into a savings account. Its how I own a house at age 25. well ok I part own a house, but still....

I don't buy them.

- but someone once asked me to make a simple program to generate numbers based on past number patterns - hehehe - didn't work though - ended up winning just 1% of the total cost

- if you ever do buy them? what do you base the numbers on? birthdate? numbers you see in your dreams?

I just buy a lucky dip so I don't choose my numbers at all, they get randomly selected. My Mum has been using the same numbers pretty much since Lotto started and hasn't won anything of significance yet.

Those numbers are probably bound to come up some time in the future - patience is the key

But make sure that you buy your ticket early in the week as I was told that by the end of the week all the good numbers have gone.

Heh.

I went to buy a $5 Lucky Dip the other day...seems $5 doesn't buy a ticket these days.
