Grrr. Earlier in the year I broke my hand, then just about mangled it by spending the first week taking the cast off to code which resulted in it healing crooked. That resulted in frequent trips to various hospitals to try and correct it after it had begun to fuse.

Shortly after I caught MRSI. Back to the A&E and a week in isolation in hospital.

I thought I was going to be damage-free for the rest of the year. I *almost* made it.

Back to the A&E last night to get antibiotics to treat several ****ing painful white-tail spider bites. The 2004 injury trifecta is now complete. At least I'm not clocking up hospital hours this time.

I was carrying infested firewood on Wednesday night. I didn't notice until last night when they swelled up mad huge.

In my favour it only hurts around the bite and I feel a little light headed. No nausea or itching or any of the usual symptoms. I am harder than any spider.

Bah. I can no longer rule out a hospital visit. Cellulitis has set in so I'm off to the doctor, and then an antibiotic drip if I'm unlucky.

But then that brings back fond memories of Penny sending me balloons in hospital. Yay!

Seriously, get your ass, and also those parts bitten, to a doctor post haste.

My Dad is hard. He thought he was harder than the Spider. By waiting a week he caused about 6 months extra healing time to be needed to repair the damage to his thumb.

Those things are pure fucking evil. Their destruction would be of no detriment to the universe.

Full agreement here Kall after it turned nasty this afternoon. I've had a sampling of an infection out of control and it's not fucking pleasant, nearly lost my.. uh.. foot. Yeah, foot.

Anyway, antibiotics and elevation seem to be helping.
