I found out last night that my Gran has an anneurism (sp?) in the pulmonary artery next to her heart. The doctor can't believe that she's still alive. She could go any minute, or she could last another month or so but she definitely won't last to her 93rd birthday in December.

I love my Gran, we're extremely close and I've never wanted this moment to come. Now even Gran knows that she's not going to last much longer and that must be a horrible feeling for someone.

I'm going to go see her today. I don't know how I'm going to be able to hold it together.

The farm where she lives just won't be the same without her - my Mum has been living with her and looking after her for the past 5 years so I've spent lots of time up there.

I'm there almost every Christmas and New Year and I don't even want to think about her not being there from now on.

My Gran has been one of the best Grans in the world and she's lived an amazing life. At my last visit she spent hours telling me about her childhool. She was actually born in the same house that she lives in now!

Anyway ... just thought I'd share ...

Thanks everyone.

Gran was moved to a Ward yesterday ... she had more visitors than anyone else in the hospital which just shows how much she means to all of us.

I spent most of yesterday with her and we talked heaps and I listened to even more of her stories.

I can't visit her until 2.00pm today so am at work until then.
