Around 9 this morning, I got a call from my buddy. He stated the big 12 point buck was in his field. It took me an hour to get things ready and drive out to his farm. By the time I got set up in my stand the buck was gone. I told myself no big deal the weather was nice and I sat my stand until around 2:30 in the afternoon. I was thinking about giving up and heading in, when I heard a deer blow at me from behind. I waited and turn around and saw a nice 7 point 20 yards away just about even with me on the hill side. The buck knew I was around, but now where I was at. The rest is history. I'm a happy camper.

Oh yes, I hunt for meat the rack is a bonus. In all my years of hunting deer I have only kept two, soon to be three racks. this seven point, an eight point from last year, and a hugh 12 point from 1998.
