| walking to work this morning. A guy (looked pretty normal) walking up Mt Eden Rd carrying an iron and ironing board. What the? His shirt didn't look rumpled to me but maybe it does get very rumpled throughout the day so he takes his iron etc to work with him. I can't quite figure out what the hell he was doing with it. ![]() | ||||

| maybe his mrs kicked up out, so he picked up the first thing he could find to take as "his" OR maybe he was shifting house and that and the clothes on his back was all he owned. | ||||

| It was pretty weird to see at 7.00 in the morning though. Made the walk interesting coz I was coming up with scenarios as to why he was doing it ... I think I may have been watching too many CSI/SVU type TV programmes lately ![]() | ||||
| ||||
| I've walked along carrying things before that were all perfectly innocent and wondered if people would think I am wierd when they saw me. I know the answer now... *bans Sparkley Gal from Crime TV* no more for a week young girl! | ||||
| ||||
| You can't do that to me ... you really can't .... They're brilliant programmes and they make the walk to work so much more interesting. You can make up a crime in your head about anything .... beats playing the number plate game .... ![]() | ||||
| ||||
| hahaha, Ok you can keep watching them for now... but when you start ringing 111 telling them the guy with the ironing board is about to go and steam someone to death, you have to stop then. | ||||
| ||||
| My first guess is - he probably, reluctantly, was made to take the ironing board and iron to a friend's place by the wife. | ||||
| ||||
| Oooh, that's a good one NiteFenix ... quite believable in fact. Although I still think the iron is his murder weapon of choice and the ironing board is his alibi .... ![]() | ||||

| Yep, odd Once had a jury duty and the guy was accused of staling a 23 inch TV. Atty to Cop....Just why did you stop my client? Cop....Well, he was carrying this TV. Atty....Why was that odd? Cop....It was 7 am, he was naked, and he was running along a busy street. Atty....You found this odd? Cop....Actually, we stopped him for the nudity and then discovered the TV was stolen. | ||||

| An update on this. I saw the guy again. He actually walks quite a distance and turned off the main road so I didn't see where he ended up. Only this time, he had something else with him .... a loaf of bread (as well as his iron and ironing board). No backpack or anything else .... just the iron, ironing board and a loaf of bread. Now that's just STRANGE. | ||||
| ||||
| What?!?! you didn't follow him?!?!?! hahaha that is STRANGE! Maybe his girlfriend lives somewhere else and he takes it round to her place so she can iron her stuff before work, and this time he brought her breakfast too. You know what I would do, next time I would stop him and ask him. Becuase curiosity would get the better of me. | ||||

| He was across the road, I was going to call out to him but I didn't want to feel like a right knob, and there was quite a bit of traffic around so he might not have heard me, I would have had to have yelled and I have a sore throat today. Definitely next time I see him though I will have to ask ... it's just too weird. | ||||
