I seem to do it all the time. I did it today, I know my father will think it is funny, but I couldn't believe I said it.

To understand what I did wrong you need to know my father is meant to be at home recovering from cutting the top of his thumb off. Hes meant to be at home for 4 weeks.

I thought I would surprise him and ring him... he wasn't home (which he will be told off for later! Unless of course he was at the doctors or something) and so I am leaving him a message and I say "well I thought you might be sitting at home twiddling you thumbs" and then burst out laughing as I realised what I have done. Then continue to dig the hole by getting into "well just the one thumb of course" and so on and so on...

I say really silly things reasonably often.

It's a whole case of that foot in mouth disease - every time I open my mouth, I put my foot in it!

I think Jessica Simpson is probably the worst offender for saying REALLY stupid things though - I've never watched that programme she's in but I've heard about some of the things she's said.
