The company I work for is great. At the beginning of the month of your birthday you get a birthday card. This allows you to one day off anytime in the month of your birthday. It's especially great for me because normally my birthday is around Easter so I can use my day off to have an extra long holiday!

Is that like a Monolopy "get out of jail free" card but it is "get out of work without needing to fake an illness" card.

That is a dam good idea actually, it must work great for staff moral and it means that the management know to expect someone to take a day off rather than wondering if they are going to phone in "sick"

Yeah it is a great idea. My old boss at Ansett used to always give me the day off for my birthday which was good but the best thing about Vodafone's deal is that you can have any day off so if your birthday falls in the middle of the week then you can take the Friday or Monday off and have a nice long weekend.
