Yep you read right. Microsoft is giving away free copies of Windows XP to those people who can prove they have been duped into buying pirated copies of Windows.

I guess the goal is just to give people an incentive to give up their suppliers and help put a stop to piracy.

Well some people are stupid enough to buy pirated software and not realize it.

Others are just naive or blind to it because these pirates are so damn good.

I bought what turned out to be a pirate copy of MS MapPoint 2004 Europe on eBay.

The seller was NARUed but that still didn't get me a license.

Mine is the x-men series Lady Death Strike, Bluey & Aquila's is a custom jobbie from a DIY cartoon ava site we all played with a while back.

Unless there is something screwy going on with NZB.

I did have my own custom avatar but I changed it to a predefined one for aesthetic reasons.
i.e. postbit looked kinda strange when the text to the right of the avatar is taller than the avatar.
Maybe it don't seem odd to you but it bugged me so I changed the avatar.

I wanted to just use a larger version of the custom one I had before but, rather oddly, the custom avatar dimensions limit is set lower than the 100px * 100px predefined avatars supplied.
