guy Fawkes....I love it, fireworks are so pretty...

I used to love being in Wellington, they'd put on a big huge firework show that you could just go down to the waterfront and have a look. All free... do they do anything free like that in Auckland? I know alexandra park does fireworks, but that costs money to go to...

Anyway I think at work we are going to have happy hour for longer and everyone can come down and have a BBQ and have fireworks.... well its my idea and since I pretty much run the social club, so anyway i think it is a brillant idea... so long as they aren't drunk and stupid, I can just imagine Penny's wonderful fireworks, sending the office up in smoke hehehe.

We haven't got any plans as yet...but we are in Line of Sight of Mt Eden, so that could be a goer.

Apparently Sparkle reckons I'm not allowed to play with fireworks this year. I can't understand it, fireworks are fun!

I mean, just because of my horrendous track record with personal safety, she doesn't trust me with an armful of rockets, a couple of roman candles under each arm, and some sparklers stuffed in my trousers for safe-keeping?

As for this year, I will be doing nothing special. The folks will probably buy boxloads of fireworks, but they always save them for bonfires at Xmas/New Year
I used to have the job of pyrotechnics choreographer, but it doesn't look like I'll be home either of those nights due to work commitments . . . though I'll be with my gal, at least.

I love watching fireworks but I'm not a big fan of being around them when they're being lit. We got one of those spinning ones once and the guys hooked it up to the tree in our front yard. They set it off and it went crazy and started spitting fireworks at us and through our front door - we had to run inside and close the door until it was done.

We have a "Lights over Marlborough" display on here every year which in my opinion is much better than the shit crackers n stuff you get at warehouse. There is a small fee to go to it but it's minimal.
