Default Election day in the US

Hey, can someone send me a small vial of O two? Bush, yes Bush is ahead in the first returns! Has everyone gone absolutely zonked?

This does not bode well for the emergency rooms in San Francisco.

The US electoral system is insane.

Bush is ahead in four states that were pegged to go Republican anyway. As the polls further west and north close, you'll start seeing the Democrats catch up. Mine and everyone elses guess is that it's going to be a close one, then the lawyers will get stuck in and some judges will flip coins.

This site seems to have the newest results a few minutes before the rest:
http://election.cbsnews.com/election...state_ky.shtml

The real debate is: are either of these potential presidents useful? Kerry is less dangerous to both Americans and the rest of the world than Bush, but he's also pretty weak and not likely to rock the boat.

It would be a very different world now if Gore had won four years ago. Maybe it's a good time to shake shit up and become globally paranoid while terrorism still resorts to bombs as opposed to nanotech and tailored viruses.

Kentucky looks dead set against same-sex marriages too.

Oh yeah, and the polls in Kentucky have been pretty consistent too, no far-out swaying, so there's probably not much hope that it'll reverse position before it's done.

I follow it but was hopeful that Kerry would landslide Bush. Of course I knew that would not happen.

There are lots of issues. But for now think of these two.

the war in Iraq. Bush did not need to do that to protect the US.

The spending of the Bush administration. Bye bye social programs.

Ah, thanks penny. Inhales deeply. Wait. Is this some of the Oxygen from the little house of horrors fun kit? Takes another deep draw. Aw, that hits the spot. Oh, what the hell. If Bush want the Slim Pickens role from Dr. Strangelove, who am I to object.
