Hey all

It's nice to be back....

Anyhoo I won one of those GIANT (yes it needs caps!) subway subs two weeks ago and man was it good!
All I had to do was buy two things from 'Starmart' and I was in the draw... first thing I ever won in my life! I was pretty stoked.
Ended up sharing it with everyone at work.

What was the first thing You ever won? How long ago was it?

The first thing I ever won was a massive Christmas hamper in a raffle at the Kaikohe A&P show. It was filled with toys. It was WICKED. I was buzzing for weeks. I'll never forget it. I would have been about 8 I suppose.

Lately, I've won a pair of Dirty Dog sunglasses which are very cool and a DVD move called White Noise which was spooky. Oh! AND a bottle of bubbles at the PA lunch I was at the other day.

I've won a few things over the years, but wouldn't consider myself overly lucky, I just enter in lots of competitions

About 15 years ago I was in a Dick Smith store.

The phone rang and the guy beckoned me over.

"talk to this guy", he said.

On the other end of the phone was MoreFM, they were running a competition for a handheld game machine. It was pretty cool toy for it's time.

All I had to do was read of 3 of the games they had a list of!

Couldn't have been easier.

went to collect what I thought was going to be an $80 win on lotto once, turned out to be $800.
You can imagine my joy
I had huge plans for the $80 alone!

I won a trip to Las Vegas when I was 12 in a raffle at a dog show....go figure-I sold the ticket to my uncle and used the money for school clothes.

Yes well, Ahem!

My brother once won $10,000 on one of those instant kiwi things a few days (like about now) before Christmas one year.
Boy was THAT Christmas! Thats one I'll never forget...
