I can still remember how the boards used to
make me smile.
And I knew if I had the wit
I could post threads that were ‘the shit’.
And maybe go hot once in a while…

Cos I see those threads they know the score..

Well I know that boarding is a sin

I was a standard member, most newbies are
Then became a Golden member, didn’t get a star
But I may as well say au revoir
The day….the Arcade died.
I started singing…

Lost my trophies, lost my buddies, now I think I will cry.
On the messageboards I made my whine..
Saying ‘That’ll be the day that I die’
Take my trophies, just come and try..

I met a guy who knew the score
The database was a dirty whore
He just smiled and walked away
I went down to the Chit Chat board
Where I heard the gossip days before
But the threads there simply didn’t say..

Well now in the threads the postings raged
The people lol’ed and the wit was gauged
No sooner had I spoken
A hammer fell, it’s broken!

And the posters I admire most
Got hammered cos of their riposte..
The author’s there, making a boast..
He doesn’t know he….is lame.

They started singing….
