| What is the one thing you have bought that was the biggest waste of your money? Something that you just had to have and then a week later (or however long) wondered just why you ever bought it in the first place? For me it would be the pair of $300 horsehair shoes I bought in Vegas 2 years ago (or was it 3?). I think I have worn them twice. | ||||

| Well, a week or so ago, I bought this license for vBulletin... :P No, seriously.. hmm... Sim City 4? No, I still play that occasionally..oh! An $800 car that died within 6 hours of purchase. License plate IM 1000. We called it 'The Shitter Thou'. Still, we had fun pushing it around that Warehouse carpark... | ||||

| My gym membership. I joined in January and have been to the gym only once (and that was for a sunbed session). I'm not sure how much I pay ... about $60 per month I think. | ||||

| you know... I don't believe I've ever regretted something I've bought but then I never impulse buy - I think about it for days/weeks/months first LOL | ||||

| I generally hate cars. But today I found a Ford Taurus sedan for 11,500 (2003). Not for me, for Rose. I had just got a patent and there was this mailing offering to put me in Inventors of America or some such claptrap. I did, I did, I did. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I refused their placque, plack (the thing that hangs on the wall) Augh. | ||||

| My biggest waste of money...? I don't know about the biggest but this is the latest. A new, never network locked, unbranded, security sealed, manufacturer guaranteed mobile phone. The model I want in this configuration is not available on the high street and starts at £280 online. I decided to go to eBay *groan* The seller I settled on is based in my country, the item is here, no TAX was to be added, they had 100+ feedback, 98% +ve, many in the last month and they qualified for PayPal buyer protection. It looked good. Buy it now price £240 I bought it, sent them an e-mail and waited. ... and waited. 7 days I waited then sent them another e-mail to ask if there was a problem. ... and waited. Now at 10 days and still no answer or my mobile I e-mailed again stating that if I did not get a response soon I would pass the matter on to PayPal's fraud department. ... and waited. At 2 weeks I noticed that they had started to receive -ve feedback from other eBay users and were NARUed. (Not A Registered User) Uh Oh! So, I marched straight on over to PayPal and submitted a claim under their buyer protection programme. That was 2 days ago and I am waiting to hear back from them. Do you think I stand a chance of ever seeing that £246 (including shipping and insurance) again? | ||||
