| There, there. You had me at 'duh'. Ahem. Anyway, getting this back on subject here's a narrow slice of some of my stuff; this gallery focuses on a particular project: http://nih-.deviantart.com | ||||

| Greenfairy and nih, thanks for sharing. I really liked the poem and nih deviantart is the best site out there for artists!! The Oracle She walks through the valley in the shadow of death Lost and without shelter Eyes glazed like white china A oracle appears before her Speaks with a great fury It asks her "child, what do you wish?" "Only to be at peace" she answers "I have traveled many years many days many nights All i have seen is desolation This land stretches before me Wide and empty Vultures follow me Wild dogs chase my torn feet I have lost my clothes Nature wore away my skin I tread now slowly As my feet sometimes falter yet still I can not stop Where is the end oracle?" The oracles features merge Its eyes glimmer as puddles of oil It inhales the air The child draws closer "Wait child, close your eyes" Obedient as ever she draws tight her crusted eyelids "What do you see?" She smiles the leer of a cynic "Nothing" she answers And as she speaks the oracle vanishes The twisted stumps of trees melt into a vortex Followed swiftly by the deadened grass The crater that once held the gift of life Then it is over She speaks not a word She sheds not a tear In the same way the planets collided to create life They tear apart to return to nothing | |||

| I have NO ability with art. Kim does all manner of textiles, weaving, oragami, baskets, writes poetry. Just won the Mary Tallmountain award for some poetry. Did a lot of work on some books about basket math. She has just sent a manuscript of her poetry to a publisher. It was accepted online and this was hard copy. (I know, I printed it.) The basket math thing is neat. Goes like this. Baskets define space. So to understand a theoretical about a space, make a basket and study the ACTUAL space. May sound odd, but the thing was in the running for a Nobel a few years back and while she was not to get the award (if granted) her work was mentioned on the submission. I may be able to get Eddie to let me scan one of his works. | ||||
