Can someone please have a look at the nzd terms of use for anything in Messageboard Usage that prohibits the mentioning of other sites?

I know it is in Profile and Email usage, but the lack of this being mentioned in the Messageboard section would lead one to believe that it was ok to 'Use' the 'Messageboards' to talk about other sites, especially in a thread entitled 'Best Sites' - one about other sites than NZD.

Please be aware that despite being specifically warned about promotion of your website using NZDating you have chosen to ignore our administrators.

Therefore your messageboard access has been revoked, if any further attempts to misuse NZDating to advertise your services are made, your account will be removed and banned.

As I understand it you also have a couples account which will also be affected by your actions.

This afternoon our administrators were left with no option but to ban you from the messageboards after you ignored a specific warning regarding not promoting your own community site.

Unfortunately I have to agree with their decision and that they were left with no other option.

I'm sure given your nature you will try to argue that others were listing websites, so why can't you. I'm sure that you already know the answer is that they were discussing websites they enjoy and don't own. By listing your own website (and the previous promotional misuse of NZDating) it is not the same thing and is considered commercial use (misuse of NZDating for free advertising of your website).

Given in the past you have been a reasonable (and therefore valuable) member of NZDating, could you please let me know what the story is. You appear to be bitter and twisted towards NZDating as far as I am aware without any good reason, however this negative/destructive position is clearly displayed in attitude and misuse.

Perhaps if we can resolve whatever is bugging you we can consider a situation where your use of NZDating is not removed (assuming you actually wish to be here)

Yup, you have hit the nail on the head in many places there.

a) yes, others were mentioning sites. Yes, I thought it would be okay to do so as well. (how do you know none of those people own the sites they mentioned?) You'll note that rotten.com was also mentioned...and left up there. Is NZD quite cool with being a referrer to a site that deals with pictures of children being deep-fried and eaten, but not with NZB?

b) Yes, I am somewhat bitter towards one member of the NZD admin staff, the one everybody refers to as 'the An*l webby'. This is not you, I believe we call you 'the good/reasonable webby'.

This site has far too many people whose sole purpose of being here is to cause distress and problems for others, and nothing is done about them bar the occasional slap on the wrist. There is one member who bosts about having 250+ profiles, and nothing is done about this either. I am well aware of the ease of finding out if people are using dual accounts from the same IP address, and this makes me wonder exactly why you allow him to stay here.

While these types of people are allowed to freely go about their little twisted agendas, pretty much innocent people are given the massive smackdown for their breaches.

Effectively, the rules are not applied in any fair or reasonable manner.

Yes, I realise you have your massive loophole of 'NZD may remove an account for any reason whatsoever', but to allow people to post the URLs of sites like rotten, and banning me for mentioning a messageboard site (that I happen to admin) does kinda suck. Hell, just letting rotten.com remain on that thread kinda sucks.

So yeah. The problem lies with The An*l Webby, his manner of speaking to people and the perceived unfair way the rules are presented, and the fact that troublemakers, the ones who start rumours and make direct personal attacks, are allowed free reign, while people who point out security holes and mention their own sites get banned.

Well it is a joke. The whole site is spiralling out of control. THey happily allow shit stirrers (hi Phil...what a shame u werent there on Saturday I was so looking forward to meeting you again) and other mongrels there, and yet they seem to have some irrational fear of this site which really is unexplainable.

Hopefully anal webby *waves to Anal Webby... yeah I left NZD dear heart, not because of this place but because you fail to police NZD in a fair manner allowing twats like Phil to play his pathetic games* will eventually wake up and smell the roses and learn that the www consists of more than one site.

I strongly suggest caution on this topic,

The reason it is not permitted on NZDating, is that various people have been misusing NZDating as a free advertising medium to promote this site which IS a breach of our terms of use and considered commercial use.

The owner of the site has previously been warned about using NZDating to promote their website, and other members who continue to promote the site in various ways also risk action if they have been previously warned or we consider collaboration has taken place to misuse NZDating.
