| Have you been out for a really nice meal lately? Let us know where your favourite place to eat is. Personally, I really quite liked La Pochetta for the food...service was quite shocking tho. On the Indian side of things, Masala Dosa in Mt Eden Village is damned fine. They do North Indian cuisine (masala dosa - a type of pancake) as well as the standard Southern stuff like Butter Chicken. | ||||

| I love La Porchetta for food... I get take away from there any time I am bnear the city or parnell... OR if I can eat in I do. It is yum yum yum.. I have never had a problem with service, maybe you just got them on an off night? After a while they reconise me now... and so its even better AND its cheap! | ||||

| Well...there *were* 20 of us...but it was a booking. When we all got there, there were 2 tables pushed together, comfortable seating for around 14. | ||||

| Sawadee on Ponsonby Rd for Thai Food Fuji on Ponsonby Rd for Japanese Food Had a fabulous meal at Mikano a little while ago but it's pretty expensive there so I would recommend only if someone else was paying! | ||||

| I hate gobble.co.nz. I've hated them many times, but recently I was stupid enough to order food from them again. The guy arrived late without an eftpos machine. I not only selected "eftpos" but I wrote "paying by eftpos" in the comments area. The guy tried to tell me in broken english that it was his first day, but he's the same guy who used to deliver to us a year ago. While he went off to get the eftpos machine I checked out the food. An order of fish and chips came without fish, but the receipt said I was going to be charged anyway. I called up to let them know so that he could bring fish on his return and I got a weird, fake over-response. So the guy arrived, I paid, he left. Stale fish. So fucking old it was hard to chew. This shit had been in the freezer for goddamn years. Never, ever eat gobble.co.nz's ill fucking food. It's not hygienic. | ||||

| I ordered lunchtime platters from gobble for a meeting I had. It was brilliant. The food was fresh and there was plenty of it. I'm guessing though that because I ordered over $100 worth of food they felt they had to have a reasonably high standard coz they probably want to retain my business. I would definitely use them again .... only their platters though. I have used them personally once or twice for dinner and found their food tasted quite bland. | ||||

| I've not been out to dinner much but my favourite cafe in the world has to be the Strawberry Alarm Clock on Parnell rise. Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, you can hide in the lovely space out the back with trees and banana palms. They do the most amazing salmon eggs benedict you have ever tasted.
