| Julia Child has died at her home in California. As in any persuit, everything is a mystery until someone arrives on scene and removes the mystique. She did this for many of us who enjoy the occasional French dish. Way back in the 60s people were watching this wizard of cusine on Public Television. I loved her programs. I thought she was great. From now she will be a memory. But a damn fine one. Go gently, sweet lovely lady, go gently. | ||||

| During WWII she worked for the OSS. That was the precursor of our beloved? CIA. I was watching one interview that mentioned she and Jacques had both been in the spy business during the war. So maybe the cook secrets are not in the soup. One of her shows started with this HUGH fish on the counter with her saying, "today I will show you how to make some boullabaisse". She was fun. | ||||

| I wrote a fake story that she was my great aunt, when I had to come up with a short story on a statewide test in high school. I was the only person in my entire grade to receive a 100 mark on the English section. The person who looked over my booklet loved the story, ahh I wish I still had it. My mother alerted me of her passing via AIM. I was in shock. I kept pressing J on the keyboard, trying to bring her back to life through AOL!!! Oh how I tried! | |||
