We were talking about these the other day...the only thing anyone had ever eaten with kremelta in.

Its the only reason they sell kremelta isn't it? No I lie, I made chocolate once with Kremelta in it. I must find that recipe, I remember thinking it was yum... from a Girl Guide thing again!

I think they normally take their kids to Lollipops or Chipmunks or McDonalds nowadays. I don't think either of my nieces have had a traditional kiwi birthday party yet.

Don't forget animal biscuits and those biscuits with the pink icing and hundreds & thousands on top.

Zeke (my little bro) had a traditional party last year...some kids from his school came out, and Dad (yes, DAD) baked a spongebob squarepants cake for him.

Dads rock.

I used to make those...little chocolate cupcakes with the top chopped off and cut in half and then stuck back on with a blob of cream to make wings. *edit* ... and dusted with icing sugar.

Mmmmm...

That's right ... butterfly cakes I think they were called.

You're lucky your Dad was around to do stuff like that ... my Dad wasn't much into cooking (except on the Barbie) and then he left when I was 14 so he missed out on quite a bit of stuff that my brother and I got up to. His loss I reckon.

Although there are a couple of things I remember Dad making ... one was Blackberry drinks ... we had a Blackberry patch behind our property and we'd pick them, Dad would mix them up with milk and icecream and added something else (not sure what) and the drinks was mmmmmmmm ... the other thing my Dad was a whizz at was making Corn Fritters .... mmmmmmmmm Corn fritters
