Tonight's episode starts on Tru's birthday.

We get about 5 minutes of the usual banter between her and Davis and Harrison, then she arrives at the Morgue to a surprise party.

Most of the people she knows are there, including a few from Med School.

A couple of the girls from Tru's group of students are seen having an argument in the background.

The lights flick off, Davis says it is due to the circuit breakers being faulty. A repairman can be seen going to fix them.

In the darkness, Tru can only see Davis and Harrison when she hears the familiar 'Tru, help me!'

She flashes back to that morning.

After discussing the previous day with Davis, they decide that the target is either the student or the psychiatrist that Davis was seeing.

They split up, each to look after the one they think is the target.

Davis finds out that the psychiatrist's husband died 6 months prior, in possibly suspicious circumstances, and that she believes that his sister is out to kill her, from the handwritten notes she has been finding around the place.

Tru discovers that the student is not, as she had told her fiance, pregnant, and that the fiance's best friend (and ex-girlfriend) wants to tell him.

Meanwhile, Jack meets Harrison, gives him some money and tells him the names of a few winning horses from the day.

He then runs into Tru and shows her the birthday card he had written specially for her.

She makes it back to the Med School to find that the woman she was looking for (the ex-girlfriend) had gone to the Standard Diner. Upon arriving there, she found that the surprise party was happening there this time around.

The argument happened, but the women ended up consoling each other so Tru hurried over to Davis' apartment to check on his Psychiatrist.

She was fine, and Tru remembered the maintenance man back at the morgue, and realised it was all a redirection on behalf of Jack.

Back at the morgue, the maintenance man was fiddling with some high-voltage panel whilst standing in large pools of water. Tru arrived just in time to see him grab the cable and get fried.

Jack appeared behind her and made some smarmy comment.

Fade to black.

Fade to normal, interior, some bar..

Jack is sitting at the bar with 2 beers in front of him. Who should walk in and say 'This place is much more interesting than the place we met.' than Davis' Psychiatrist?

Oooh.

Next week: Someone asks Jack to help them!

Tru calling is such a good show!

Im waiting for when harrison starts doing it like jack does.

I really like that show, but now that 8 simple rules is back on TV2 I have had to start watching that. Its a big shame I have to suffer that decision.

And no I dont have a VCR.
