It would seem that Sony BMG, the global music company's Top level management are not happy with the format of the show.

They are "Extremely nervous" about signing Rosita Vai, the winner of NZ Idol 2005.

Christ, I sure know I would be. NZ Idol is truly a nationwide karaoke show with the winner being the person who has a large enough family to continuously vote for them on prepaid cellphones.

Skinny Boy from Masterton (Matamata maybe?) versus enormous Islander chick from South Auckland. Hmm. I wonder which one will have more people to get cellphones for?

Am I the only one that cringes whenever another NZ idol comes on TV. I admit too watching the first few episodes {just to see how bad some people really are} But after that, it's off on the TV and on with the Xbox
