| I was watching C4 the other night on Homegrown and they were interviewing the Finn bros. Listening to some of the songs again it made me think. Whenever I hear those songs I think of NZ. Kinda wierd but it felt pretty good hearing them. I think that songs that reflect who you are and where you are from are better then these mainstream, comercial songs that companies put out. I don't know, maybe i'm weird but what songs remind you of Your Home country. (I know that this is a Kiwi board but there may be non-kiwis who will read this): | ||||

| I just found it weird. Also when i hear Bare Naked ladies it reminds me of Malaysia because I lived there for a while and we used to play that in the car all the time. | ||||

| I think you're right, everyone has his or her music from home... but it does not necessarily need to be from your home country. When I lived in the US I remembered Germany by listening to several 80s songs, some of them were German (like Nena), but also stuff like U2 reminded me of home. I think it depends on the situation you've listend to, and if you have any special happenings connected to music. | ||||

| Whenever I hear drum n bass, or Judge Jules I think of the UK, but Dave Dobbyn or Crowded House would have me thinking of lil ole New Zealand | ||||

| Hello There, When i'm thinking about Holland, there is The Golden Earring. Old guys(starded in the 60's). But they have made many great songs... Here in Norway there is A-HA, maybe you have heard about them... But when i'm thinking about New Zealand. Once i was at a concert from Crowded House in Holland and it was rain all day long(outdoor) . But when they played the weather with you. The rain stops and the sun was back................. Happy face was back.. | ||||
