Thumbs up Movie Reviews

Just thought I'd start out a new thread for all you wannabe critics.

Let us know about the latest movie you've seen, it's good and bad points and how you rate it.

Would be fun to know your thoughts.

I'll start.

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

I just got back from the cinema and oh boy, I felt like a kid again watching Indy and company pull off acrobatics and trap dodging galore.

The nostalgia crept in when Indy reminisced about his history and finding out a couple of things which are quite shocking to the avid Indy fans.

The story was fast paced, fun and I can honestly say that I wasn't bored once during the movie. However, and I think this is not at all Harrison Ford's fault, but unfortunately we all end up going down that path, but due to his age restraints he was unable to do much of his own stunts himself. But I applaud him for the efforts he did make.

The newcomer to the series Mutt, joins in the adventure and he is included in some of the most breathtaking action scenes i've ever seen in an Indy movie and I take my hat off to him (pardon the pun).

The music was beautifully crafted and fitted so well into the current day rendition of a classic series and oh boy I loved it when they played the Indy theme song. hehehe.

Well I have to say I have to give this one a 9/10 for a great comeback, but it just falls short of the full marks due to the lack of action on Harrison's part, but let's give him a round of applause just for his effort. I doubt anybody else could have pulled off what he did if they were in his shoes.
