Question expectations on Da Vinci Code movie

Who read the book 'the Da Vinci Code' from Dan Brown and doesn't know what to expect from the movie coming out on march 23rd? I don't want to expect toooo much, but I'm still hoping, that the movie will be a good ' summary' of the book, and not just another typical hollywood movie with a lot of action but no content!

I am looking for "breathless". Action from the 'git-go' (that is a colocial term, kind of like 'Kick start'. Close. But you get the idea.

Thumbs down Re: expectations on Da Vinci Code movie

I gotta be honest, I'm not expecting much. I thought the book was kinda predictable.

So I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, the old adage - wait until the movie comes out.

Heh.

Hands up how many of you read the right book first?

You DO know it's part of a series?

Yes - I do, and yes I have. Angels & Demons was a better book in my opinion.

I've read all the books as well, Angels & Demons would have to be my favourite as well, then the Da Vinci Code, the other two were more predictable.

I do not see Hanks as an action hero.

The guy from Mad Max, yes but not Hanks.

I do like Tom Hanks, but not for that role.

I think that Angels&Demons was something of unreal..there were too many unreal actions..I think the Da Vinci code is superior, both story and writing..
I'm not exptecting much from the movie: I agree that Hanks is not the ideal for that role..maybe Gary Sinise

Cant wait for the Movie to come out. It is such a hard choice though to choose between the two books, but would have to say for me the best would be the Da Vinci Code.

It was a bit surreal but I thoroughly enjoyed it though, my friend has just finished reading Angels & Demons and found she couldn't put it down from the minute she picked it up which is unusual for her.

She has yet to read the Da Vinci Code yet so will yet to find out her thoughts about that one.

Both books required suspension of reality. But they were entertaining yarns. I imagine the movie will be as entertaining if acted well, which makes reality suspension easier.

I was the same as well with Angels & Demons and the Da Vinci Code, can't say that about Deception Point or the Fortress ones though, they didn't hold my interest anywhere near as much as the other two.
