If a guy calls you "miss", does it mean anything? I've heard it from several guys from the UK and from New Zealand, and where I'm from it's just a regular old pronoun (as in excuse me miss/ma'am), but when it's said by these guys, it seems like a term of endearment. So, I was hoping you could explain the usage of "miss" in New Zealand: is it just a friendly thing, or is there anything more to it? | ||||
