So I met this guy, I think he is great, which is weird cos I wasn't bothering with anyone really, anyway he went away for 10 days, and that was cool, I had to not talk to him for 10 days (thinks of Raines Infactuation thread here!) and then I knew he was going to be back on Monday and so I sent him a text on Monday evening saying Welcome home and I hope his trip was great.

He replied and stuff, and I'll talk to him later on, so I'm not worried becuase he didn't reply, but I was just wondering if it was too much? I have this thing that I like to do that sort of thing, but you don't think he might have gone "woah" about it?

argh who knows... just gotta be me I spose.

Nothing out of the ordinary. You would do the same for a mate.

The fact that he didn't reply shouldn't worry you either. It may just mean that he has no credit on his phone or whatever.

He did reply so that didn't worry me, he said he'd call me last night (but secret squriel I wasn't home and so I wouldn't know if he did or not), but anyway I was just wondering if he would think "what a cool chick cos she thought of me" or "man is she full on" or something completly different.

Your are right I do do stuff like that for my friends.

2. explore all options of why what happens happens...not just your initial thoughts or assumptions.
3. until he's done something to gain your distrust...work with the most positive options and go from there.

Sometimes we over analyse things and then get all screwed up because of it.

What the others said. Why are you fretting?

Don't ever allow yourself to be in the situation where you've only got one hook in the water. Until you settle on one guy, you want to spread your focus around. This avoids the natural risk of becoming too obsessed or worried, and when small stuff does happen your reaction is minimised. It's just not right to put that much expectation or hope in one person all at once - let it develop between the two of you.

Also, playing it cool really works. You want to maintain contact but not hassle him, just like you'd want him to be. In fact he is - look at how much he's making you think about him. Either he's otherwise occupied or he knows how to grab your attention firmly.

No numbnuts, like hedging your bets and having a few more good options. I know you have a very active life so I'm not sure why you're in this position in the first place - but if he's interested it's going to amp that interest up if you look like you have more than one guy in your radar.

Noooooo You know as well as I do, that I don't want lots of guys, I just like him. He is lovely. But Its all OK. I have it under control, not not at all and I just talk myself into thinking I do! Shes cool.

You know that I was just going along quite happily, and would have continued had I not met him, but hey what will be will be.
