Default After Bush

We had 9/11 and many of us were shocked. For years I had been saying that not all of the world loved us. But to have a disaster show this was harsh. To those who lost family, devistating.

Then to have our president "moon" the rest of the world and invade Iraq, with half the country dreaming of Rambo or Chuck Norris was not benifital.

Many of my fellow americans think in terms of who can throw the beer bottle further in a bar. This line of thinking ended for many of us when the announcement was "General Quarters, General Quarters all hands man your battle stations, this is not a drill".

But now with Bush leaving, we have to recover. The respect of the world, respect for our institutions, each other and ourselves.

One place to start is to not buy our friends.

Any other suggestions?
