there is a train that goes through the north islnd which is lovely, through the gorge etc. allows you to see much of
NZ without paying much. ask about the gorge train ride, someone in tourism will surely be able to help you out. also, if you are interested in nightlife while over here, i can give you a hand when you're in auckland
