I'm not sure about any Norse exploration, I will snoop around a bit, does sound interesting...

For the most part, the people here are close...Majority of the families have been here generations and never leave...So for somebody new like me moving in, i'll forever be an outsider...Not a homegrown Tomah guy...LOL

Most are hard working, but you do have the younger generations creeping in, that, well, realy don't want to do much of anything...

The people are nice for the most part, something that took me a long time to adjust to...Being from Chicago, when a strangers nice to you, ya better look out and watch your back!!! Here it's different, i'm glad, I have 2 daughters age's 3 and almost 2, to raise and i'd much rather do it here, than in Chicago...
