Slayer – Show No Mercy
(1983, Metal Blade Records)

"Show No Mercy" is a debut album of American trash metal group Slayer. It is the beginning of their path to legends, where they finally came in 1986 with album "Reign in Blood".
Although criticized for poor production quality it is a significant document of development of trash metal scene and can be putted aside with "Kill 'Em All" of Metallica, which was released six months earlier, and "Welcome To Hell" of British Venom, who were, as Tom Araya (vocal, bass) assert a big influence on this record.
Album begins with striking "Evil Has No Boundaries", continues with classics, satanic "The Antichrist" and dark "Die by the Sword". It culminates with in beginning of "Metal Storm/Face the Slayer". Next one, "Black Magic", is another classic, with trashy "Tormentor" it grows beneath your skin, and it finishes with excellent "Show No Mercy", which makes you to push play again. One of the albums that proclaim the arrival of trash metal.
Be afraid.
