Another point is nothing stops half a dozen people with relevant skills raising between them the equity and in return being offered permanent employment with the venture thus funded as equity partners and employees. By this i mean people unable to invest huge sums, but who might collectively each have say $60K and grouping funds together. Just a bit of lateral thinking.
