A great little piece of New Zealand. Hot summers at the farm, swimming at the river, down at the beach fishing. Ah...
It is great if you love small town.
But like others have said not much employment unless you are looking at getting into the farming sector. The closure of the meatworks did kill the town a bit.
There are the occasional problems with gangs but all places have these problems.
I would certainly give it a go at renting depending on your situation regarding employment.
