Apparently we take it for granted. Most foreigners who come over here absolutely love the stuff.
We had some rugby guys from Argentina come and stay back when I was in High School and they became addicted to our Hokey Pokey icecream. They actually bought every single tub in our town that they could find. They'd eat it by the tubfull, it was quite funny to us because we are so used to it, it doesn't really seem overly special.
I suppose the Aussies probably think that of their Pie & Sauce potato chips. They are amazing. We can't get them over here but when I was over there I bought some back. They do actually taste like a meat pie with sauce on it! |
