I have a question - if you are as in love and as happy as you say you are, why do you 'need everyone's opinion?
If it was me I wouldn't care what anyone else thought or said, as long as I was happy.

Why can't you tell anyone? Maybe they would respect you more if you were honest with them about this man and how you truly feel.
