My Dad lives in Tauranga and it's a great place. It used to be full of old people (no, really, it did) but it has grown a lot bigger and is quite a youthful city now. Mt Maunganui is not far from Tauranga (about 10 minute drive) and has a fabulous cafe culture, not to mention Mt Maunganui beach - which I hear has good surf a lot of the time. |
