Imagine what NZ would be like had the English not turned up. Once the maori ate the moriori then perhaps they may have started on themselves after they pillaged the land of all it's natural goodness. They ate all the moa. Had the English waited a few years or so it's possible that when they turned up to NZ all they would have found was a bunch of bones. |

the nature loving maori whom treasured and worships the forest also hunted the moa to obilivion and in so doing killed of the worlds largest eagle.
they burnt down forests to get to moa's.. sounds like a spiritual people to me... NOT!
