Rotorua is a lovely city in the North Island - it's a bit smelly though coz it's got loads of geothermal pools. When you've lived there a while you get used to the smell. There's heaps of fun stuff to do in Rotorua and you're quite close to the East Coast beaches.
Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island. It's also a beautiful city and has quite a lot of history about it. It also gets VERY cold in winter which we will be coming into shortly.
So .... Christchurch gets snow in winter and Rotorua doesn't -- I guess it just depends on what you would prefer. |
