Okay, so I had some jewellery stolen. I gave them the receipt for the jewellery $700 for a tri-gold bracelet. Quote from assessor comes back $350. When I queried why they had reduced it they said that they didn't think it was worth what we paid for it. Which isn't really the point now is it? The fact is that it was bought from a specialty gold shop and $700 was paid for it so that's what the assessor should say it is worth. |
