Default Re: School for the grandkids

I would like for him to go to a safe school but that depends on my daughter. And whether or not she will move him to another school.

We got him into the GATE progam at Marina at the last moment. And knowing the level of procrastination that my daughter is capable of, the last moment will be the timing for this move.

Here are some recent links to the violence near the school.

Violence in the city seems to be within racial barriers. Black on black, Latino on Latino, Oriental on oriental.

Potrero, Hunters Point / Bayview, Western Addition and Sunnydale are primary areas for black on black gang activity.

I include these links to show that the situation is far from stable. Things could turn quite ugly.

Also not mentioned in any of the above is the inclusion of the California Highway Patrol (Normally, they do not patrol local streets - and they are state police). The situation is so bad in the Sunnydale, Hunters Point/Bayview that they are "beefing up" the patrols.

We (the people of this city) are putting togeather an explosive situation.
