WASHINGTON - President Bush, angered at the loss of revenue reported by the pharmaceuticals industry, is expected to denounce the countries he considers most responsible for the ability of Americans to buy cheaper imported drugs.
In a Rose Garden press conference scheduled for late next week, the president is expected to announce that, while not as bad as the Axis of Evil, several countries constitute an "Axis of Needs Improvement."

Canada, Mexico, and New Mexico are on Mr. Bush's list.

This isn't the first time that Mr. Bush has lashed out at neighboring countries over the drug issue. In an "open mike" incident at a fundraiser last week, supporters heard the president say that "they're too laxative about letting pharmaceutics across our borders."

Staffers have explained that Mr. Bush knows that New Mexico is actually a state in the U.S., but he's including it for dramatic emphasis in this case.

"You can't have an axis with only two countries," explained one aide.
